About Franciscan Sisters Minor

In the year 2000 the Franciscan Sisters Minor began as a way for women to truly live out the Franciscan Ideal according to the ancient Capuchin Reform. Their radical life of prayer, poverty, penance and fraternity is an authentic expression of the original life of the first Franciscans.
Because the Sisters, according to their life of poverty, do not have computers, we, the friends of the sisters, have established this web site out of esteem for their heroic life of service to God's people. According to their life of "Minority" the Sisters do not do self promotion. So acting completely on our own, without the consent or knowledge of the Sisters, have decided to make them better known.
The Sisters presently have two convents, the Postulant House in Bellingham, Ma. in the Archdiocese of Boston and the second is the Novitiate in West Warren, Ma. At this time the Sisters are establishing their third and apostolic house in the city of Worcester, Ma.
